Host Cy Kellett interviews the NCBC's Father Tad on the May 28, 2023 episode of Catholic Answers Focus, a weekly apologetics podcast. Transhumanists propose that emerging technologies can be used to enhance and extend human life. Father Tad explains some of the concerns with this philosophy, including the need to consider whether a technology or treatment is restorative /healing vs. enhancing / supplemental.. Cy and Father Tad also consider the potential social consequences of the transhumanist movement, such as the eugenic implications of social class and domination as well as the likely push arising from a radical individualism at the expense of responsibility and solicitude for one another.
